1 week + 10 family members (including 2, 3 year olds) + water + sand=Hale Family Beach Trip
We got to the beach in the early evening and the first thing the kids wanted to do was, of course, see the ocean. I was thrilled to see Caroline walking through the sand this year. Last year she didn't want sand on her feet (at the end of our beach trip).
Reminds me of a song from my youth group days: Have you ever stood at the ocean with the white foam at your feet? Felt the endless thundering motion? Then I'd say you've seen Jesus my Lord. Have you seen Jesus my Lord? He's here in plan view. Take a look open your eyes, he'll show it to you.
Clark is not a fan of any thing on his hands, so sand was a new thing to him. I kept his pacifier in just in case he tried to put his sandy hands in his mouth.
The three Hale men
Papa John called Clark a sand rat terrier, he loved digging in the sand.

trying to get Papa John to walk with him. He only want to walk if someone is holding his hand.
Being buried in the sand...couldn't believe my eyes!So tired. He ended up taking a nap in Papa John's arms.
The next day Caroline had a raw spot on her toe and refused to play in the sand without her foot in a bucket of water. Really? Really? Welcome to the world of three year olds!
Clark didn't mind.
Clark had fallen and bonked his head, so not so happy about things.
Holding Papa John's hand.
