A Caroline-heavy post

_DSC0583

After church I wanted to snap a picture of Caroline and her ‘big bow.’  We stepped onto our porch and our neighbor, Bella, darted over to ‘Boo’ Caroline by giving her a handful of candy.  Nothing puts a smile on her face like candy.  So these two sweet friends hugged for a little photo opp.  Of course, Caroline invited Bella over for Sunday lunch as well.  She is very welcoming:)

Later in the afternoon, she was in the mood to have her picture taken.  This is a rare opportunity, very rare.  So I snapped away and realized just how grown-up she is becoming.  A couple of weeks ago we were on the way to pick-up my mom from the Kirklin Clinic and Caroline asked me where Jesus lives.  I told her that He lives in our hearts if we invite Him and that He will never leave you or forsake you, because He will live inside you forever until you are in heaven yourself.  Heavy, heavy stuff for a three year old.  She said right then and there that she wanted Him in and wanted to know how to invite him.  So right there in the car, riding down 280, she invited Jesus into her heart.  Tears.  For awhile she would ask random people, “Have you invited Jesus into your heart?”  Wow.  Also, Caroline has also developed a love for the song Blue Skies and Rainbows.  I think the words give her comfort as she likes to hear it over and over again at bedtime.  She even made up her own hand motions, it is so sweet.

Here are the words: Blue skies and rainbows and sunbeams from heaven are what I can see when my Lord is living in me.

Chorus:  I know that Jesus is well and alive today.  He makes His home in my heart.  Never more will I be alone since He promised me that we never will part.

Tall mountains green valleys, the beauty that surround me all make me aware of the One who made it all.  Chorus.

We also had our own little Sunday soccer.  Love this sweet, sweet little girl who is growing up right before my very eyes.
