22 months

Well we are smack dab in the middle of Caroline's 22nd month. She will be two in two months and loves to talk about her 'to you' (meaning her birthday party). Her favorite things to do at the moment are: walking around the neighborhood talking to our neighbors and their dogs, reading two books on the front porch, anything having to do with the number two, she likes two vitamins, two pacifiers at naptime, two cookies, you name it... She is still very sweet, but also very opinionated. She can't stand a mess and therefore we are often unable to spend more than 5 minutes in the clothing department of Target or Old Navy, because she is constantly saying 'uh oh mama, pick up.' I end up reshelving/hanging the entire store and am exhausted afterwards. She is like her daddy in so many ways, except she is extremely extroverted and never meets a stranger. She loves to sing and hum. She enjoys coloring and drawing. She drew a circle, triangle, and square the other day on her own. She still really has no clue that she is going to be a big sister, but loves to look at babies. She will notice if a baby steps into a room or cries at a restaurant...she is very into babies. We shall see how long that lasts. Here are some pictures from our neighborhood walking trail, where she discovered her first acorn (she calls them squirrel food).

Such a cute post! I was laughing about Caroline's issue with mess--because as we know, David is EXACTLY the same. At the park today, he decided he would dry the bottom of the slide off with his shirt and refused to slide down until I did the same. He also was distraught over the rust on the railings at the park---he kept looking to see if it was getting on his hands. What are we going to do with these two???!
