We returned home from the beach yesterday evening. I already miss the cool breezes especially when it is 99 degrees here today. This was Clark's first beach trip and he was a little trooper (with the exception of having a tough teething night or two). We would carry him around at the beach for awhile and he would sleep on a little blanket in the shade so peacefully. Caroline liked the beach for a couple of days and then decided she didn't want to touch sand. She played in the ocean and jumped waves as long as Josh or I were holding her. Therefore, she spent most of her time at the pool. She was Miss Friendly and met friends wherever she went. Going to the beach with a toddler and an infant isn't exactly 'relaxing' but we definitely enjoyed the time together as a family of four.

We LOVED that pool! It had a series of steps all the way around it so Caroline could touch the bottom and play without worry. Clark on the other hand didn't enjoy the pool he is more of a beach bum.

hey so glad yall made it back. i was so excited to see your pics. i love the one of josh and caroline dancing, and the one of clark in white sleeping on the blanket(great composure). im sorry you have to come back to the heat up here with no breeze or beach. i thought it was the end of september; we are ready for fall weather. hope you get to relax a little from the trip and we would love to see you soon. thanks for all the great pictures of those cute kiddos
