Man in the white coat

_DSC0058

Cole is beginning his third year of medical school. He will be starting his clinicals now and will be wearing his new white coat. We all went to Mobile for Cole’s White Coat Ceremony on Saturday. It was refreshing to hear from one of his professors about the help they have available to them. She mentioned the other staff, nurses, fellow doctors, and then she said it was her speech so she could not offend anyone because when she is in the operating room…she prays to God, the Great Healer and asks for His help and His wisdom. The crowd clapped, love it!! It was also nice to hear about how his class truly tries to help and support each other. I'm so glad that Cole is blessed with such a great group of teachers and fellow med students.

We are very proud of our M.D. in training and look forward to heading back to Mobile for graduation in 2013, when he will be getting his long white coat. Cole is kind, humble, and has a great sense of humor. It was fun being around him for awhile over the long weekend. cole white coat final
