I was reading some of John Piper’s writings from www.desiringgod.org an amazing resource, about the sifting of Simon Peter. The scripture addressed is Luke 22:31-34 and Piper talks about how some of most trying moments often come in the wake of our happiest (like Easter). He writes, ‘The word of encouragement and consolation and hope that can be offered to you today from God’s Word is that, if you love God and are called according to his purpose, if you are despairing of your own resources and looking to Christ for hope, then to you belongs a most wonderful promise: Jesus prays for you, and he will NEVER let Satan destroy your faith and bring you to ruin.’ Jesus who had the power to fight Satan, conquer death and rise from the grave to save us…also prays for us!! Unfathomable, but oh so comforting.
Happy Easter! We stayed home this year and were able to hear Tim Kallam preach in character, this year the Easter story was told from the perspective of Thomas. God is even bigger than our doubts. Praise be to God!
Does it get much sweeter than this? They do their own posing! LOVE THESE two precious, precious gifts from God and knowing the hope that they have in Christ makes everything that much sweeter.
When we got home from church, it was time for Easter baskets (or buckets).
Clark is still teething! Yes, a teething almost 2 year old. He is working on an i-tooth and wants to chew on everything (even Pez).
Caroline has a Shirley Temple obsession. She can’t get enough. My mom recommended Heidi. I found it new on ebay , the only kicker was that it has Korean subtitles. So excited, Korean subtitles and all!
Our little monkey has an obsession of his own Curious George!
Pointing to show sis who this coloring book belongs to saying ‘Clark, Clark!’
Just bit into his chocolate bunny wrapper and all!
Checking out his loot!
Love this sweet, sweet girl!
Clark was very interested in giving sis flowers, just not so interested in posing for a picture with her.
