This was Caroline’s first year to be in an official crew at VBS. She loved it! The theme this year was Sky and we all learned that no matter what…TRUST GOD! Even Clark now charges his hand up and says ‘Trust God!!’ We are so thankful for so many who devoted their time, talent, and energies to make it such a wonderful week for everyone.
Everyday the children were able to bring money that they earned or were given to help the Bethesda Children’s Home in India. One day between VBS and swim lessons (while Clark was napping), Caroline asked if she could have a pink lemonade stand to ‘help the children who don’t have anything'. I told her we really didn’t have much time. She insisted and we went to work making the lemonade and setting up her table on the porch. She was so excited, but no one was coming. So she went over to Randy and Cathy’s and asked if they wanted to buy some lemonade, when they asked how much it was, she said ‘$40/each.’ Love her! She ended up raising $10 in less than 30 minutes from all the neighbors that gave so graciously.
Once again reminded of Matthew 19:14 “Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Of course, Bella saw Caroline on the porch and came over to help and sample:)
On Thursday evening, they had a little celebration and looks like these two were having some fun:
