Tornadoes

Our hearts are heavy. Last week over 150 tornadoes hit through out the southeast. Many hit very, very close to home. A F-2 hit our church and surrounding area, just a few miles from our house. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who have lost so much. We went to Christian Service Mission to volunteer Sunday and took Caroline and Clark with us. It was so encouraging to see so many people coming to help. We helped by sorting the baby supplies. Caroline is still talking about the kids and babies who don’t have sippy cups, diapers, food, or even pacifiers. It really made a impact on her and meant so much to her to feel as though she was helping other boys and girls (and most importantly for this motherly one, babies). Even Josh’s yearly basketball tournament has decided to postpone the tournament to take their Saturday to provide some manpower to the most devastated areas in Birmingham. Hopefully God’s love is being felt by this outpouring demonstrated throughout our community.
